Documentation to enter Italy
Don't forget to check your passport expiration date! To board the flight to Italy, your passport must be valid for at least 3 months after your planned departure date from Italy. If you haven’t requested a passport yet, please account for 3 months for your passport to be processed and delivered.
Main Airports
The main airport we recommend flying into is CATANIA AIRPORT, as it is the closest airport to our wedding venue. It is approximately 1 hour away by car, depending on traffic.
If you would like to explore Sicily before the wedding weekend, PALERMO AIRPORT is also a great alternative. Please keep in mind that Palermo is located on the opposite side of the island and is approximately 3.5 hours away by car from our wedding venue.
Car Rentals
Renting a car is one of the greatest option to travel to and from the main airport, especially if you wish to explore Sicily before or after the wedding celebrations.
There are various car hire options at the two main airports.
Private Transfers
A more comfortable, professional and stress-free way to reach Siracusa from the main airport is by pre-arranged private transfer. As June is considered the high season month in Sicily, the private transfer's service should be arranged few months in advance to find the best availability.
